XM-19 is an austenitic stainless steel. Its corrosion resistance and strength are unmatched by commercial materials of the same price. Nitronic50's corrosion resistance is[TJC STAINLESS] better than 316,316L, 317, 317L and other materials, and the yield strength at room temperature is up to twice that of these grades. The yield strength of the high-strength Nitronic50 (HS) is up to 3-4 times that of 316 stainless steel. In addition, Nictronic50 has good mechanical properties in both warm and low temperature environments. Unlike most austenitic stainless steels, Nitronic50 does not magnetize when cold worked or cooled to sub-zero temperatures.

XM-19 Corrosion resistance
UNS S20910 / XM-19 stainless steel has excellent resistance to general corrosion and is superior to 316/316L and 317/317L in many respects.
The annealing conditions of 1950°F (1066°C) provide adequate corrosion resistance for many [TJC STAINLESS]applications, while at the same time having high strength. When using materials in a welded state or in extremely corrosive media, the conditions of 2050°F (1121°C) annealing should be selected. Materials under high strength cold working conditions are usually used for bolting and shafting connections, but there are some minor compromises in corrosion resistance in some environments compared to annealing conditions.
UNS S20910 / XM-19 stainless steel (annealed) is more resistant to crevice corrosion (e.g. crevice corrosion) than the 316/316L type. Like most austenitic stainless steels,[TJC STAINLESS] such as types 304 and 316, XM-19 steel may suffer from stress corrosion cracking in an environment containing hot chloride ions.
XM-19 Features:
XM-19 stainless steel has the perfect combination of corrosion resistance and strength not available in any other commercial material. The corrosion resistance of this austenitic stainless steel is better than that of alloys 316, 316L, 317, 317L, and the yield strength at room temperature is about twice that of these alloys. [TJC STAINLESS]In addition, XM-19 has excellent mechanical properties at both high and sub-zero temperatures, which makes it different from most austenitic stainless steels.
XM-19 is also not magnetic at low temperatures.
The yield strength of High strength (HS) XM-19 is approximately 3 times that of 316 stainless steel.[TJC STAINLESS]
XM-19 Applications:
It is widely used in Marine, nuclear power, chemical and oil and gas industries.
