Hastelloy C-4 Alloy is one kind of austenitic low carbon Ni-Mo- Cr alloy. The main difference between Hastelloy C-4 and other early developed alloys with similar chemical composition is Hastelloy C-4's low carbon,silicon,iron and tungsten content. This mentioned chemical composition enables Hastelloy C-4 to exhibit excellent stability at temperature of 650-1040℃ and improve its ability to resist intergranular corrosion. Under appropriate manufacturing conditions, it can avoid corrosion sensitivity of edge lines and corrosion of heat-affected zone of weld. Besides, Hastelloy C-4 alloy is with excellent corrosion resistance to most corrosive media, especially in reduced state; Also Hastelloy C-4 alloy is with excellent local corrosion resistance in halides. Hastelloy C-4 can be welded by various welding processes, such as tungsten electrode inert gas welding, plasma arc welding, manual subarc welding, metal inert gas welding, melting inert gas welding. Among those processes, pulsed arc welding is prior.
