Material performance:
(1) In chemicals containing [TJC STAINLESS]chloride, sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid and nitric acid, it has excellent ability to resist overall corrosion, intergranular corrosion, pitting and crevit corrosion.Corrosion resistance between 316L and Hastelloy alloy.Corrosion resistance is less than 316L in some amine facilities because of the tendency to form nickel-ammonium complex compounds.
(2) The extremely low carbon content, plus niobium element helps to reduce the precipitation of carbide in the heat-affected [TJC STAINLESS]zone, so it can be used in the welding state in most cases.All the common welding methods can be used successfully except oxy-acetylene.
(3) good cold forming, can be twice the radius of the material thickness of the bending, as well as tensile pressing molding operations.
(4) It also has excellent [TJC STAINLESS]mechanical properties in the environment of up to 500℃.
Applications:
Alloy 20 was first developed in 1951 for use in sulphuric acid and is the preferred alloy for sulphuric acid industry environments.It exhibits excellent stress corrosion cracking resistance in 20% ~ 40% boiling sulfuric acid.Because of its extraordinary corrosion resistance, the 20 alloy is now a popular choice in many [TJC STAINLESS]industries such as chemical, food, pharmaceutical and plastics, and is used as a high temperature alloy in heat exchangers, mixing tanks, metal cleaning and pickling equipment, and pipes.
